प्रिय ताऊजी और ताईजी के लिए


छोटी सी ताई को ब्याह कर, जब ताऊजी घर में लाये
सारे लोग उन्हें देखकर, मुह दबाकर मुस्कुराये!
इतने लम्बे ताऊजी, और इतनी छोटी ताई,
साथ चलेंगी कैसे वो, और बांधेंगी कैसे tie!
सबने पूछा ताऊजी से, ताई आपको कैसे भाईं?
बोले, " परदे के पीछे से वो अपने, सुन्दर पाँव दिखायीं,
छोटे नाज़ुक पाँव देखकर हम तो बस ललचाये,
औए इन्हें ही ताई बनाकर अपने घर ले आये!"


ताईजी ने ताऊ के संग सारे धरम निभाए,
अम्मा की बहु, भाई- बहनों की माँ बनकर घर को, 
चार चाँद लगाये!
उस घर में सर्वेश- मुकेश से दो- दो दीप जलाये,
जूली, ऋचा, शोभित, अभिनव, 
पर भी लाड लुटाये!


सबके सर पर छाया बनकर, सारे कष्ट उठाये,
हम सबकी जीवन बगिया में, माली बनकर वो तो आये!
त्याग, तपस्या और संयम, यह
आपने ही तो हमें सिखाये!
बस दीजिये हमें यही आशीष, 
आपकी दिखाई राह पर हम सब
यूँही हमेशा चलते जाएँ!

Marriages, again

Union of hearts or just a stamping to officially procreate..... whatever we may think about it, marriage is an essential part of our society. Been married for just 12 years doesn't qualify me for expressing opinion on this institution but could not help making these observations

Marie Biscuit marriage- Very healthy, strong and good for all around them, but no taste, no zing. A lot of our previous generation marriages were like this

Chewing Gum Marriage- Very juicy at the onset, but all the juice goes off after a while and then what's left is a tasteless gum, painful to chew anymore and difficult to spit anywhere too. Most modern mariages feature in this category.

Wafer marriage- So fragile, one jerk or hit, and it would crumble into countless pieces.

Ice Cream Bar marriage- Good till it lasts, but best to keep it safe as it is very sensitive to surroudings. A little exposure and it would just melt away.

Liquer chocolate marriage - Very tempting and chocolaty exterior, which turns bitter as soon as the outer shell melts in your mouth. Such marriages are all around us, perfect couples, with everything going just right socially, but with so much of bitterness in their personal space

Ice Cream Sundae marriage- Thats an interesting marriage with variation in each scoop. Nuts, sugar syrups, bitter chocolate syrup, tangy fruits, all are there, mixed in just the right proportion. And you never can be sure of whats coming next.This marriage may not be perfect but usually a lot of fun.

Alpenliebe marriage- Now thats the marriage which is just perfect, Keep savouring its taste for a long time, no risk of breakage or melting. The same taste continues forever. You actually need to bite real hard to cut through it.

So in this wedding season, wishing an Alpenliebe marriage to all newly weds. Lagey Raho.......

एक खूबसूरत शाम में, न जाने कहाँ से,
ये कमबख्त ग़म का बादल चला आया ।
क्या इसे नहीं मालूम, यहाँ इसकी जगह नहीं॥

यहाँ तो हर तरफ़ हैं रंग,
लाल हरे पीले गुलाबी,
फिर क्यों इन्हे बेवजह भिगोने चला आया।
शायद ये भी दिल का बोझ, जो बरसों से लिए घूमा,
बरसा के उसको बूंदों में, उमींदों को लिए आया॥

आज क्यों नहीं तुम भी,
बरस जाने दो हर बादल को, जो दिल पे रख के बैठे हो।
बहा दो वो हरेक आंसू, नमी से जिसकी डरते हो।
फिर आखें खोलकर जो इस, दुनिया पर नज़र डालोगे,
यूँही छंट जाएगी वो सब धुंध, जो घेरे थी तुम्हे अब तक,
कुछ और ही नज़र आयेंगे ये सब रंग,
लाल हरे पीले गुलाबी॥
